How Does It Work?
As a managed email filtering service, the hardware, software, and maintenance necessary for spam and virus prevention are taken care of
for you.

• When you sign up for the service, every email that is sent to your domain is subjected to a constantly refined blend of proven filtering techniques. Spam and viruses are proactively identified and blocked before they effect your operations.
  
  
• After viruses and spam emails are intercepted, the remaining legitimate
  e-mail is delivered directly to your account.
  
  
• Finally, an offsite mail quarantine holds intercepted mail for 5 days so you can check for “false positives.”

In addition, you have access to an online management interface to create and refine "Whitelists/Blacklists" and view real-time spam/virus statistics at your will.

• Why is Email Armor not included in Beyond Email’s base hosting fees?
Our email services include standard filtering, which is adequate for many of our clients. However, some of our clients have need for the more advanced level of filtering that is provided with Email Armor. Email Armor is an optional add-on to all our hosting plans.


• Can I use Beyond Email’s Email Armor service if I don’t host with you?
Yes, you can. Email Armor filters mail before it gets to your web host which allow us to offer this service to our clients even if they do not host
with us.


• Does it filter all spam and viruses?
  Our filter system will trap and filter 97% of all spam and virus. No solution can filter 100% of the spam. Our technology is always adapting to new methods spammers use.

• Will it filter out mail I actually want to receive?
Occasionally this will happen. You can, however, view all mail that has been filtered and “release” it. If mail was incorrectly trapped, you may also add the sender to your “white list” so future mail from the sender will not be trapped again. This level of control is available at the email domain level (all email accounts associated with you domain name) and at the individual email account level.


• How much does it cost?
There is a one time setup fee for Email Armor of $45. Monthly fees are $10 per domain plus $1 per email account (sold in packs of 5). Contact us for special pricing for large volume email accounts.
